The now-defunct New York Penn League was the home of Hudson Valley baseball for its first 25 summers. With Minor League Baseball’s restructuring of 2020, the league has since dissolved, along with all but two NYPL teams. One age-old major league rivalry is to credit for the Renegades’ longevity.
